FINSA, in the Western Spain province of Galicia, is among other things a large packaging sawmiller which produces mostly packaging material. Its Santiago de Compostela sawmill has seen the addition of a slanted log carriage and bandmill to process larger logs.

OSCAR has been installed on the new carriage from French maker M1TB. FINSA processes short logs, so an OSCAR 230 has been selected for sawing optimisation. Another interesting feature : the carriage is slanted so that loading and turning of logs, unloading of boards, are facilitated and more reliable. OSCAR high accuracy and all-day-long performance improve significantly log positioning and opening cuts made on each face. With a major increase in raw material recovery showing up at the end of the day !
