Fenning Barnsale operates a hardwood sawmill in Barnsdale, in the Southern Australia state of Victoria. It processes mainly ash.

Proper usage of each quality is the main objective of this operation, and it led to integrating an Oscar 430 in the recent upgrade of the headrig, in order to increase both volume and financial raw material yield. Fenning Barnsdale mainly processes logs from 40 to 75 cm in diameter, in length up to 4.80 m.
Leonard Fenning, Sawmill Manager, says "... the most important requirements were increased accuracy and high log optimisation". The project having been completed and running for a few month, he now states that "... they should achieve payback on the new equipment [carriage, bandsaw, Oscar] within three to four years".
